Our longest running Advocacy effort is for the Outstanding Volunteer Award. Each year The Ageless Foundation participates in recognizing an outstanding volunteer with the Bedford Park Senior Center. A panel selects a recipient who has served as a volunteer role model for others. They are recognized at a public luncheon and awarded a cash prize and plaque. We are now in our 9th year and are looking to expand this program. If you want to co sponsor such an award, the Ageless Foundation will work with you to promote such an activity in your own neighborhood.

You serve as a local coordinator with a senior center or other agency church/community board and have the agency and yourself select an outstanding volunteer to your community. The Ageless Foundation would produce a plaque and make a cash donation to that outstanding volunteer. We would try to video tape the event or arrange for you to photograph/videotape and then distribute it to the volunteer. In addition still photos commemorate the event which helps instill the volunteer ethic in others in your community. We have found it is exillerating to recognize outstanding senior volunteers and promotes wellness, activity and family involvement.
