1) We offer direct services to your family and the community, ones that are not other wise available. See home visit program and osteoporosis screening initiative. Links to those areas.

2) We focus on education. Our focus on education is also quite unique. We try to educate people directly with the goal of empowering people to make more informed decisions. We do not hope to tell them what to do, but do want to educate them on approaches, services and skills that they may want to add to their arsenal. We are aware that many will only use some techniques but by being offered choices we feel that alone will empower people. Even if they decide not to use any of our skills and still come to the same conclusion they had before listening to our educational programs they will at least have considered things from a different view point and there by be making a more informed decision.

3) We consult with experts who provide focused, synthesized information that is presented in a unique way.

4 ) We try to maximize the family and intergenerational family dynamics. Our service and educational programs go a long way to promoting and facilitating intergenerational interaction which is essential in re building the family, a tie that has seen some loosening in the last few decades. By using high tech to maximize high touch we are uniquely situated to promote this agenda.

5 ) Low overhead, Next we are unique in our low over head approach to operating the charity. We try to use volunteers and supplement their services with staff and funds for necessary items to allow them to function effectively.
